Jazz ensembles led by Tomer Cohen, part of the adult music education program at the Israeli Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv (Stricker). The adult program was founded four years ago on the belief that "it's never too late" and that music is food and nourishment for the body and soul on the "fast track" of life.
Since then, the conservatory has become, in addition to being a center for musical excellence for children and youth, also a home for a community of amateur musicians that is being built and developed within it.
The program has about 200 active participants who play in classical chamber ensembles and jazz ensembles, take private lessons on all instruments and voice training, and sing in a choir for senior citizens.
The program also offers theoretical courses in music theory and guided music listening.
The program was founded and is directed by flutist Daphna Yitzhaki.
