In the intimate and unique setting of the crypt, the ancient burial chamber beneath the Crusader church in the heart of the village of Abu Gosh, the clear voice of soprano Daniela Skorka will meet the guitar of internationally acclaimed virtuoso Liat Cohen.
This is a musical journey filled with passion, colour and longing, travelling between Spain and Latin America, and between folk song and classical art music.
Works by Manuel de Falla, Joaquín Rodrigo, Fernando Sor and Isaac Albéniz will bring the spirit of Spain into the crypt — fiery melodies, delicate rhythms and poetic depth.
Alongside them, the programme will feature works by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Antonio Lauro and Ariel Ramírez, including the beloved song “Alfonsina y el Mar.”
Within the ancient stone chamber, where every sound takes on its own resonance and breath, an intimate and immediate encounter unfolds between the voice, the strings and the audience. A concert of beauty, emotion and intimacy — from the passion of Spain to the gentle melancholy of South America.
